Nothing reaches a learner until the Program publishes it. Words go in as drafts. A named person approves them, a named person publishes. Until that happens nothing on anyone's phone changes, and the record of who approved what is kept permanently.
Withdrawing a word reaches phones. It leaves every future version and is deleted from each learner's app the next time it checks in. Not hidden — deleted.
Some words are only for the community. Words the Program marks that way are never sent to an ordinary phone at all. They travel only to a device holding a code the Program issued, and withdrawing that code stops them arriving on the very next request.
Restricted and sacred material is refused, not protected. Anything marked that way is rejected before it is written down — not encrypted, not access-controlled, simply never here. It cannot leak through a mistake, an export or a backup.
No learner can put Chinuk Wawa in. Someone can report that a word looks wrong, in English. If what they type carries Chinuk Wawa spelling the service refuses it before storing it, so nothing written by a learner can later be mistaken for a real word.
It is not on the App Store. The app is shared through TestFlight, which is how Apple lets people try software before it is released. It goes no further than that unless the Language Program decides it should.
Nothing here generates Chinuk Wawa. No part of this service writes, translates or guesses the language, and no content is sent to any AI system. The app's coach speaks only English, on the learner's own phone.
On rented computers in Oregon, for about sixteen dollars a month. Whether a commercial host is acceptable for community-only material at all is a question for the Program, not one this project should answer quietly.
Every word, every version, every recording and the full record of who changed what can be exported in one step and handed over. Custody is meant to transfer; the software is built so that it can.
